Happy Birthday to Kryssy! As always, I enjoy your writings and the feelings behind them!

One thought hit me while I was reading and thinking about my own journey. When she pushes my buttons my heart says that I am too focused my needs and wants. Definitely not what I want my relationship, my marriage to be about. I think it should be about what I bring, what I offer…not what I “get”. I just want to give, lift her up, be her cheerleader!

Great post Brother. The enemy is always at work, something we need to always understand and that we need to be alert. Your suggestions about Wild at Heart and the boot camps are awesome. I know that John’s books have deeply impacted my life, my soul, and my walk. Has it made the walk attack free, no, but I now understand more of what’s happening. It isn’t me blowing all the time. There is that enemy that is seeking to get to us.

It is truly special to have brothers to walk with, to share the journey. They see things from a different view that has at times help me to get through those trails.

So often my flesh seems to choose for me.. and honestly I forget.. I allow the enemy to steal the truth. I want to wake up daily knowing this truth and walking in it.. Yes, He loves me.. but He also wants me to walk in strength into the desires of my heart and calling on my life.

Those are fantastic passages to remember, to know, to walk in. To me, they all say that that God loves me, values me, and really wants the best for me…just sometimes my brain gets in the way. Those wounds pop up and do what they do best, get in the way and make me think otherwise!

Great words Greg…it can be so scary for us men to move towards our wounds, open them up and really see them…I think a reason so many men chose not to face those wounds, just easier not to … but, I truly feel that when we ask God for that sage to come into our life and help us heal (with God’s help), we can embrace a newer and deeper life than we could have ever imagined. Me personally, I think we move from happy to joy and peace….

I love the words you used “authentic and true”…I think sometimes when we come face to face with those pressure situations we can freeze because we are looking for the perfect words or thoughts…we feel that if we don’t come up with the right words something may go terribly wrong…just connecting on a heart level, sharing, and being real can be so powerful.

Great post! I really feel that sometimes those struggles we experience are like the seemingly never ending winters…It seems as though they will never end, but then one day something wonderful happens and things change. Awesome how God used that quiet time to speak to and heal your heart..the mystery of our Father, we never know when and how he will approach us, we just need to be alert and open!
