Fishing brings me life. To read my blog you for sure can tell. This particular picture was taken a few years ago in Alaska where we were Salmon fishing. I was very much alive here. I was receiving life in all areas of my life.

Receiving life is not just about some recreation that you enjoy. It encompasses your whole being. John 10:10b says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

A whole life, not a half life like having joy in your family but not in your job or other relationships. God does not want you to be happy just in your hobbies…you know the whole saying, “I’d rather be fishing.” That presuppose misery in something; usually in one’s job, home, relationships, finances or your inner-self. Don’t you want more, don’t you want to know the secret?

Christ has come to seek and save what was lost. He has come to bind up the broken hearted and set the captives free and as I said earlier, he has come to bring life! I want that…what are you waiting for?

On the other hand John 10:10a says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” What does that presuppose?
